Pics & Vids

The features on this page acclaim the virtuoso Chris Cook, but the clips have other extraordinary artists in them too. Look for the links in the word "video" and click. We hope you enjoy these which were taken by various fans in all sorts of venues and before a variety of great audiences.

There's a bunch more on youtube. Please feel free to check those out. Help add to the ratings by downloading them to sites such as Myspace. It's an easy way for fans to support Chris and it's greatly appreciated. Thanks for everything!

This video by Douglas Productions has been said to be one of the best produced of all the Chris Cook videos. Listen to the admonishing words of "Don't Go In There" as performed in studio. This song will be on the upcoming cd and is already a favorite of many fans.

This popular video also by Douglas Productions shows an example of the outstanding showmanship of Chris Cook. He is performing his original "Uncle Scam Blues" at Sylvia Theater, York SC. Also see the fascinating percussionist, Jim Brock (Kathy Mattea, Joe Cocker, Joe Walsh & James McMurtry) and the to-the-bone bassist, Rick Blackwell (Janis Ian, Crystal Bernard & Kathy Mattea). Enjoy!

You'll see the humorous side of Chris as he performs "Steam Roller Blues" by one of his favorites, James Taylor. Hit counts on this video shot up quickly on youtube, so we thought it worth mentioning here. Filmed by Kathy Hendrix at Rodi in Gastonia. Listen to Chris Cook's Myspace Friends hoop and hollar as Chris throws in a few lyrics of his own. There's a special "thanks" at the end of the song. It's a funny one, so don't miss it.

Video by Otis Green pictures Chris Cook as member of the band for Kevin Montgomery at the Hog's Breath Saloon in Key West. Kevin was sick with laryngitis, but he and the band (Chris Cook, guitar; Danny White, bass; and Paul Griffith, drums) still put on a great show. A definitive night of country rock in the legendary Key West bar.

Chris spends a lot of time playing at the Hog's Breath in Key West, FL. This interestingly shot video (filmed from behind the band) shows how much fun he's been having. Band members (kindly referred to as the Hog's Breath All Stars) are Chris Cook (guitar), Drake Leonard (bass), Paul Deakin (drums), Mike McAdam (guitar). This is an instrumental by Mike McAdam. You'll that Chris enjoys playing this crowd pleaser.

Central Station is a small tavern near Chris' hometown where people gather to hear him when he's "home". Hard-working people go there for a listen and to say "hello - how's it going." This was one such night and although there is background noise in this video (filmed by Kathy Hendrix), we had to include it. Listen as Chris sings this beautiful romantic song, "Magnolia" by JJ Cale. Watch him as he interacts with fans while he plays. Notice the greetings to friends with his eyes...he even wishes someone a Happy Birthday without missing a beat...it's small-town...it's home...it's Chris Cook.
